Dominion
تَبَٰرَكَ ٱلَّذِي بِيَدِهِ ٱلۡمُلۡكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءࣲ قَدِيرٌ ١
Blessed is He in Whose hand is the Sovereignty, and, He is Able to do all things.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Blessed and exalted is Allah, in whose hand is the dominion, and He has power over all things.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, when Allah gives someone dominion and power, He does not give it as lasting, true ownership. He gives it only as a temporary trust under His rule and takes it back when He wills. The true Owner of all dominion is always He.
Reflect
How would seeing what you own as a trust change the way you use it?
