Worthy of Awe, Worthy to Forgive
And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
He is worthy of being feared and worthy to forgive.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, He is the One whose punishment is to be feared and guarded against, and the One who forgives. One who does not fear Him guards against nothing, and none but He can forgive sins.
Reflect
Ask Allah for forgiveness today.
