The Last and the First Are Ours
وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلۡأٓخِرَةَ وَٱلۡأُولَىٰ ١٣
And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
And to Us belong the Hereafter and this world.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, the beginning and the end belong to Allah; there is no other owner to oppose or interfere. In neither world is there any authority besides Him.
Reflect
Leave something you cannot control to Him today.
