Barren Dust
وَإِنَّا لَجَٰعِلُونَ مَا عَلَيۡهَا صَعِيدࣰا جُرُزًا ٨
And lo! We shall make all that is thereon a barren mound.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
And We will surely make whatever is on it barren dust.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, the adornments that dazzle eyes today will tomorrow turn to dust as if they never were. The finest deed is not chasing passing adornment but serving its everlasting Creator.
