The Righteous
إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ يَشۡرَبُونَ مِن كَأۡسࣲ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورًا ٥
Lo! the righteous shall drink of a cup whereof the mixture is of Kafur.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
The righteous will drink from a cup mixed with camphor.
Insight
Elmalılı explains “abrar” as the plural of “barr”: a person full of goodness, obedient and good, who honours the rights of Allah and of people.
