Fire That Reaches the Hearts
ٱلَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةِ ٧
Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men).
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
It is the kindled fire of Allah, which rises over the hearts.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, calling it “the fire of Allah” shows it is too terrible to compare with known fires. It passes through the body to the soul and the heart, because the source of evil is there.
Reflect
Try to clean your heart of grudges and envy today.
