Wealth That Makes Immortal
يَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ ٣
He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
He thinks his wealth has made him immortal.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, he thinks his wealth has already made him eternal. He does not consider that wealth hoarded only to be counted, of no use to anyone, will become a disaster for him.
