We Are Its Guardian
إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَٰفِظُونَ ٩
Lo! We, even We, reveal the Reminder, and lo! We verily are its Guardian.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
We sent down the Reminder, and indeed We will be its guardian.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, per the majority the pronoun refers to the Reminder, the Qur’an; per al-Farra’ and Ibn al-Anbari, to the Prophet.
