The Oft-Repeated Seven
وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰكَ سَبۡعࣰا مِّنَ ٱلۡمَثَانِي وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ ٱلۡعَظِيمَ ٨٧
We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur’an.

Meaning
We have given you seven of the often repeated and the great Qur’an.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, “mathani” is a richly meaningful word conveying repetition and praise; the seven verses are al-Fatiha.
