Night as a Garment
And He it is Who maketh night a covering for you, and sleep repose, and maketh day a resurrection.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
It is He who made the night a garment for you, sleep a rest and the day a rising.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, night, the earth’s shadow, is like a garment covering the body, shielding from the sun’s discomfort and others’ eyes.
Reflect
Sleep knowing your sleep is a blessing.
