The Best Resting Place
أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡجَنَّةِ يَوۡمَئِذٍ خَيۡرࣱ مُّسۡتَقَرࣰّا وَأَحۡسَنُ مَقِيلࣰا ٢٤
Those who have earned the Garden on that day will be better in their home and happier in their place of noonday rest.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
The companions of Paradise that Day are in a better settlement and a fairer resting place.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, “mustaqarr” is a settled place of sitting and conversing; “maqil” is a place of midday rest.
