A Severe Grip
إِنَّ بَطۡشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ ١٢
Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Indeed, the grip of your Lord is severe.

Elmalılı explains “batsh” as a harsh, powerful seizing; calling it “severe” as well conveys its extraordinary terror.
