The Best of Creatures
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمۡ خَيۡرُ ٱلۡبَرِيَّةِ ٧
(And) lo! those who believe and do good works are the best of created beings.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Those who believe and do good deeds are the best of creatures.
Insight
Elmalılı does not limit “good deeds” to prayer and zakat: every act in line with Allah’s pleasure, in worship and in daily dealings, obligatory or voluntary, is included.

Today, do an ordinary task well for Allah’s sake.
