Patience
O ye who believe! Seek help in steadfastness and prayer. Lo! Allah is with the steadfast.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
O you who believe, seek help from Allah through patience and prayer. Allah is with the patient.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, impatience is wanting everything at once. Yet everything depends on time and the law of growth; maturity comes step by step. As he puts it, ‘to want everything at once is to want nothing’.
Reflect
Can you give yourself time for something you want right now?
