You Will Not Forget
سَنُقۡرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ ٦
We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
We will make you recite, so you will not forget.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, the Prophet, who did not know what a book or reading was, would receive the Qur’an through Gabriel as a book to recite, and he would not forget it.
