Respond to Allah’s Caller
O our people! respond to Allah’s summoner and believe in Him. He will forgive you some of your sins and guard you from a painful doom.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
“Respond to the caller of Allah and believe in him; He will forgive you some of your sins.”
Insight
According to Elmalılı, “some of” here is notable; for the rights of people are not forgiven by faith alone.
