Forgiveness at Dawn
وَبِٱلۡأَسۡحَارِ هُمۡ يَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَ ١٨
And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, though they spent the night in worship, they did not lie down at dawn but sought forgiveness for their shortcomings, as if they had spent it in sin.
Reflect
Ask forgiveness a few times before the dawn prayer.
