The Doers of Good
ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَبۡلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحۡسِنِينَ ١٦
Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Accepting what their Lord gives them; indeed, they were before that doers of good.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, they receive what Allah gives with good acceptance, pleased and content; for in the world they did good work.
