Those Who Are Alive
To warn whosoever liveth, and that the word may be fulfilled against the disbelievers.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
To warn whoever is alive, and so that the word may come true against the disbelievers.
Insight
Elmalılı explains “alive” as one whose mind and feelings are awake: the Qur’an wakes such a person from heedlessness.
Reflect
Keep up a habit that keeps your heart “alive” today too.
