Hands That Speak
This day We seal up their mouths, and their hands speak out to Us and their feet bear witness as to what they used to earn.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
That day We will seal their mouths; their hands will speak to Us and their feet will testify to what they earned.
Insight
Elmalılı recalls that this is the day described in Surah an-Nur, when tongues, hands and feet bear witness. A person will be told about by his own body.
Reflect
Think about what your hands would say about you today.
