Corrupted Generations
وَلَقَدۡ أَضَلَّ مِنكُمۡ جِبِلࣰّا كَثِيرًاۖ أَفَلَمۡ تَكُونُواْ تَعۡقِلُونَ ٦٢
Yet he hath led astray of you a great multitude. Had ye then no sense.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
He led astray a great many of you. Did you not use your reason?
Insight
Elmalılı explains “jibill” as communities: Satan corrupted the character of many communities. Reason therefore requires seeing his enmity.
