In a Confused State
بَلۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِٱلۡحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ فِيٓ أَمۡرࣲ مَّرِيجٍ ٥
Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case.

Meaning
But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, they denied the knowledge of Allah who created them, His Book and His Prophet as soon as they came, and fell into confusion.
