Days of Misfortune
Therefor We let loose on them a raging wind in evil days, that We might make them taste the torment of disgrace in the life of the world. And verily the doom of the Hereafter will be more shameful, and they will not be helped.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
We sent upon them a screaming wind during days of misfortune.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, though astrologers inferred lucky and unlucky days from this, the days’ ill fortune was due to the punishment in them.
Reflect
Attribute fortune to deeds, not to days.
