We Need Allah
۞يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ أَنتُمُ ٱلۡفُقَرَآءُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ وَٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلۡغَنِيُّ ٱلۡحَمِيدُ ١٥
O mankind! Ye are the poor in your relation to Allah. And Allah! He is the Absolute, the Owner of Praise.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
O mankind, you are those in need of Allah, while Allah is the Free of need.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, religion and worship are not Allah’s need but people’s need.

See your worship as your own need, not Allah’s.
