Seven Heavens
Allah it is who hath created seven heavens, and of the earth the like thereof. The commandment cometh down among them slowly, that ye may know that Allah is Able to do all things, and that Allah surroundeth all things in knowledge.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Allah is He who created seven heavens and of the earth the like of them.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, “sama’” originally means high; it is the name of the lofty realms surrounding those who stand on earth. These are so you may know Allah’s power and that His knowledge encompasses all.
Reflect
Look at the sky and reflect on the vastness of Allah’s knowledge.
