Make No Excuses
(Then it will be said): O ye who disbelieve! Make no excuses for yourselves this day. Ye are only being paid for what ye used to do.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
“O you who disbelieve, make no excuses today.”
Insight
According to Elmalılı, this will be said to the disbelievers on the day they are cast into Hell; for that day excuses will be of no use.
Reflect
Make your apology today; don’t leave it for tomorrow.
