Ships Like Mountains
وَلَهُ ٱلۡجَوَارِ ٱلۡمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِي ٱلۡبَحۡرِ كَٱلۡأَعۡلَٰمِ ٢٤
His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
His are the ships raised high in the sea like mountains.
Insight
Elmalılı explains “munsha’at” as constructed: though people build ships, the ability and materials to build them are a blessing from Allah.
