Jinn from Fire
وَخَلَقَ ٱلۡجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجࣲ مِّن نَّارࣲ ١٥
And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
And created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.
Insight
Elmalılı explains “jann” as jinn; if “man” here means Adam, “jann” means the father of the jinn.
