He Laid Out the Earth for Creatures
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلۡأَنَامِ ١٠
And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
And the earth He laid out for the creatures.

According to Elmalılı, the earth being spread out below in this way is for the benefit of the creatures upon it.
