When It Favours Them
وَإِن يَكُن لَّهُمُ ٱلۡحَقُّ يَأۡتُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِ مُذۡعِنِينَ ٤٩
But if right had been with them they would have come unto him willingly.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
But if the right is theirs, they come to him in submission.

According to Elmalılı, they do not doubt the justice of the Messenger’s judgment, but flee when it goes against them.
