Raised Houses
فِي بُيُوتٍ أَذِنَ ٱللَّهُ أَن تُرۡفَعَ وَيُذۡكَرَ فِيهَا ٱسۡمُهُۥ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُۥ فِيهَا بِٱلۡغُدُوِّ وَٱلۡأٓصَالِ ٣٦
(This lamp is found) in houses which Allah hath allowed to be exalted and that His name shall be remembered therein. Therein do offer praise to Him at morn and evening.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
In houses which Allah has ordered to be raised and His name mentioned therein, they glorify Him morning and evening.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, these houses are mosques, whose buildings are kept higher than others and whose worth is honoured.
