Answering the Distressed
Is not He (best) Who answereth the wronged one when he crieth unto Him and removeth the evil, and hath made you viceroys of the earth? Is there any Allah beside Allah? Little do they reflect.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Is He who answers the distressed when he calls and removes the evil, better?
Insight
According to Elmalılı, the “mudtarr” is one pressed and overwhelmed by illness or other hardship; it refers to the type, so every distressed one is answered.
Reflect
When in distress, call on Him sincerely.
