The First ‘Ad
وَأَنَّهُۥٓ أَهۡلَكَ عَادًا ٱلۡأُولَىٰ ٥٠
And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A’ad.

Meaning
And that He destroyed the first ‘Ad.

According to Elmalılı, this is the ancient ‘Ad, the people of Hud, destroyed after Noah’s people; called “first” relative to later peoples.
