Do Not Be Deceived
لَا يَغُرَّنَّكَ تَقَلُّبُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ ١٩٦
Let not the vicissitude (of the success) of those who disbelieve, in the land, deceive thee (O Muhammad).
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Let not the movement of the disbelievers throughout the land deceive you.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, it is but brief enjoyment; “nuzul” is the hospitality offered to a guest on arrival. Yet it should not be forgotten that among those disbelievers are some who will end well and join the believers.

Look to your own path instead of envying others’ worldly goods.
