A Reminding Fire
نَحۡنُ جَعَلۡنَٰهَا تَذۡكِرَةࣰ وَمَتَٰعࣰا لِّلۡمُقۡوِينَ ٧٣
We, even We, appointed it a memorial and a comfort for the dwellers in the wilderness.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
We made it a reminder and provision for the travellers.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, fire is a blessing on which livelihood depends, a reminder of the fire of Hell, and a benefit for those camping in the desert.

When you see fire today, seek refuge in Allah from Hell.
