Many from the Earlier
ثُلَّةࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ ١٣
A multitude of those of old.

Meaning
A multitude from the earlier peoples.

According to Elmalılı, it is fitting that most of the foremost come from the earlier ones; indeed the first of them are the Companions.
