Noah’s People Denied
۞كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحࣲ فَكَذَّبُواْ عَبۡدَنَا وَقَالُواْ مَجۡنُونࣱ وَٱزۡدُجِرَ ٩
The folk of Noah denied before them, yea, they denied Our slave and said: A madman; and he was repulsed.

Meaning
The people of Noah denied before them; they denied Our servant and said: “A madman.”

According to Elmalılı, before your people, Noah’s people denied in the same way and did not believe that Allah sends prophets.
