Saved at Dawn
إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَاصِبًا إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطࣲۖ نَّجَّيۡنَٰهُم بِسَحَرࣲ ٣٤
Lo! We sent a storm of stones upon them (all) save the family of Lot, whom We rescued in the last watch of the night.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Except the family of Lot; We saved them before dawn.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, a wind raining stones was sent upon them; only Lot’s believing family was saved before dawn.
