Wealth and Sons
أَن كَانَ ذَا مَالࣲ وَبَنِينَ ١٤
It is because he is possessed of wealth and children.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Because he has wealth and sons.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, do not obey him because he has gained wealth and power, hoping for benefit or fearing his harm; still less for any other reason.
Reflect
Don’t value people by their wealth.
