Rising by Night
Lo! the vigil of the night is (a time) when impression is more keen and speech more certain.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
The rising by night is firmer in impact and more suitable for speech.
Insight
Elmalılı explains “wat’” as treading, making suitable and harmony: in rising at night the heart and tongue agree more, and speech is firmer.
Reflect
Tonight, make a short prayer with your heart and tongue in harmony.
