Moon, Night and Morning
كَلَّا وَٱلۡقَمَرِ ٣٢
Nay, by the Moon.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
No! By the moon.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, the moon, night and morning are meant literally, but they also point to the rising of the light of prophethood in the age of ignorance when the world was drowned in darkness, and that night’s ending.
Reflect
Remember that even in a dark time, morning is near.
