Abundant Wealth
وَجَعَلۡتُ لَهُۥ مَالࣰا مَّمۡدُودࣰا ١٢
And then bestowed upon him ample means.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
And gave him extensive wealth.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, this is wealth stretching far, like al-Walid’s many holdings between Mecca and Ta’if, his garden in Ta’if never lacking fruit summer or winter, and his great fortune.
