Fearful of Punishment
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم مِّنۡ عَذَابِ رَبِّهِم مُّشۡفِقُونَ ٢٧
And those who are fearful of their Lord’s doom.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
And those who are fearful of their Lord’s punishment.

According to Elmalılı, fearing they may have fallen short in their duties or done something forbidden, they have pity on themselves and guard against punishment.
