Abundant Water
وَأَلَّوِ ٱسۡتَقَٰمُواْ عَلَى ٱلطَّرِيقَةِ لَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰهُم مَّآءً غَدَقࣰا ١٦
If they (the idolaters) tread the right path, We shall give them to drink of water in abundance.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Had they kept straight on the way, We would have given them abundant water.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, this is not the jinn’s speech but divine speech revealed directly: had jinn and humans kept to the right path, they would have been given abundant provision.
