Neither Heat Nor Cold

Reclining therein upon couches, they will find there neither (heat of) a sun nor bitter cold.

Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall

Meaning

Reclining on couches, they will see neither scorching sun nor bitter cold.

Insight

Elmalılı explains “arikah” as an adorned couch set up in a bridal chamber; “zamharir” is bitter cold, for extreme cold is a torment just like extreme heat.

Reflect

Give thanks today for being sheltered from heat or cold.
