The Accursed Devil
وَحَفِظۡنَٰهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيۡطَٰنࣲ رَّجِيمٍ ١٧
And We have guarded it from every outcast devil.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
And We have protected it from every devil expelled.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, “rajm” originally means stoning, then came to mean killing, reviling and expelling.
