Rely on the Ever-Living
وَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱلۡحَيِّ ٱلَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِهِۦۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِۦ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرًا ٥٨
And trust thou in the Living One Who dieth not, and hymn His praise. He sufficeth as the Knower of His bondmen’s sins.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and glorify Him with praise.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, mortals crumble and those who lean on them are lost; so lean only on the undying Living One.
Reflect
Lean not on the perishing but on the Ever-Living.
