Sitting by the Fire
إِذۡ هُمۡ عَلَيۡهَا قُعُودࣱ ٦
When they sat by it.

Meaning
When they sat over it.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, they gathered around the fire and watched from opposite it. “Sitting over it” hints that this would in the end turn into their own ruin.

Take care not to watch someone’s suffering like a spectator.
