Seek Provision from Allah
Ye serve instead of Allah only idols, and ye only invent a lie. Lo! those whom ye serve instead of Allah own no provision for you. So seek your provision from Allah, and serve Him, and give thanks unto Him, (for) unto Him ye will be brought back.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Those you worship besides Allah have no power to provide for you; so seek provision from Allah.
Insight
Elmalılı explains “awthan” as anything worshipped, of stone or other matter, a fetish; it is broader than idols.
Reflect
Pray to Allah first for your provision.
