Let Him Call His Council

فَلۡيَدۡعُ نَادِيَهُۥ ۝١٧

Then let him call upon his henchmen.

Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall

Meaning

Then let him call his council.

Insight

Elmalılı explains “nadi” as a council gathered to discuss something; in Mecca the Quraysh met in the “Dar an-Nadwah”. No council can help anyone against Allah.

Reflect

Consider how strong the circle you rely on is, before Allah.
